Top 10 Dividend Stocks By DividendRank

"When a dividend stock offers high potential returns and low valuation point based on current stock price, that's a stock worth investigating."

To research the Top Dividend Stocks section of Dividend Channel, we employ a proprietary "DividendRank" algorithm whereby we screen through our coverage universe of dividend paying stocks, and then we look at a variety of data such as dividend yield, book value, and quarterly earnings, and we then compare that fundamental data aginst the stock's present trading data.

This lets us come up with certain calculations about profitability in contrast to the stock's present valuation (in other words, we are using data to determine whether we think the stock looks ''cheap'' on the one hand or ''expensive'' on the other). We then rank our coverage universe based upon various criteria with the aim of generating a Top 10 list of dividend stocks that look the most ''interesting'' for further research.
